The Pentax Optio M30 Digital Camera sports an ultra-slim body (18mm) with an aluminium alloy textured finish, Digital Shake Reduction, Face Recognition AF and AE, and an Auto-Macro function that enables close-up photography up to two inches in Super Macro mode and less than four inches in Auto Macro mode. The Pentax Optio M30 combines 7.1 megapixels, a 3 x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD.

Movie Feature - The Pentax Optio M30 digital camera allows you to record movies with sound at 30 frames per second (640 x 480), limited in length only by the capacity of the memory card used. The Movie SR (shake reduction) function automatically corrects camera shake.

Auto Macro Mode - lets the camera determine how far you are from the subject and switch to macro mode for you if you need it

Digital Shake Reduction and Movie Shake Reduction - automatically corrects the image if you're a bit shakey

Face Recognition - automatically detects faces and focuses on them (rather than just focusing somewhere in the centre). It also sets the exposure so that faces don't get darkened when there is bright light in the background.
